TPD Insurance Claims

You may be eligible to make a TPD (Total and Permanent Disability) insurance claim when your illness or injury prevents you from working in your current position or any other position that you are suited to. Most people are covered for TPD through their superannuation fund. If you are covered, then the amount you can claim is based on how much you are insured for, and not what is saved in your superannuation fund.

Your illness or injury does not have to be work-related or accident related in order to be eligible to make a TPD insurance claim. Examples of claims that can be made include ongoing disability due to heart attacks, cancer diagnoses, accidents or sports injury.
